Kan.Dee.Phonic

Today my blog and my group Kan.Dee.Flip got a shout out from our friends Seriously Fierce Productions. Here is the link to the article! Thanks for the shoutout SFP! Hopefully we will get to see some footage soon from the show!
SFP has been waiting to dig deeper into the realm of good music. We decided to capture some footage of two collections of artists perform right here in Athens, OH. iPhonic, a hip-hop/rock band based out of Cleveland, OH, recently pleased the Ohio University students with a rockin’ show at 19 South on 10.23.2009. iPhonic was accompanied on this evening with a glitchy-spinoff curtousy of the “Kan-Dee-Flip” duo eL.esS.Dee (Paul Bono) and eM.Dee.eM.A (Bill Hein) and their music and information can be found here.
The DJs got the early crowd moving and created the right atmosphere for a rocking evening. As the eager fans began to pile in the bar, the iPhonic crew made their appearance. Guitar shredder Matt Gibson brought a unique sound to the band as he incorporated his blues lead guitar with the hip-hop and in-your-face lyrics of Dave DiGregorio and Joe Quebodeaux. Dave D and Joe Q grabbed their mics and hyped up the OU crowd for what was going to be an impressive performance.
Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, hold up your drinks because the show is about to get kickin’. The boys began their set with confidence. Adam Smith (bass) maintained a smooth groove that accompanied Ed Planisek on the drums. The show was truely a one-of-a-kind performance. I have yet to be exposed to such an innovative way to play music. The way the band mixed the rock rhythm with hip-hop blew our minds. These guys know how to keep it fresh, keep it real, and truely dig deep into the realm of creativity. Thank you iPhonic for pleasing Athens, OH with a special performance.
