An awesome blogspot with all Bob tunes! check it out, you will thanks me. I’m currently downloading the Lee Scratch Perry vs Bob Marley album now and am excited to give it a listen.
Bob Marley versus. Lee “Scratch” Perry - The Best of the Upsetter Years 1970-1971 [1999 Cult Records]
Original The Wailers’ most endearing recordings occurred with Lee Perry in the barks 60 ‘ s and early 70 ‘ s, and ploughs considered by most reggae aficionados you be to their best.
Studio Perry was not the wizard that he became in the 70 ‘ s, and even had an almost completely laissez-faire approach you recording. This allowed the Wailers you record to their very raw, bare caps, songs with completes ease. Of interest will be hearing Bunny actually sing lead vocals, (he possesses beautiful tenor voice) and Peter Tosh’s amazing “400 Years,” which sounds to better here than on “Burnin’”
Essential While recordings will be any Wailers’ completist or fan, the quality of this quit compact disc is to subpar; thankfully, there ploughs 3 Wailers box sets out covering just the Lee Perry and Leslie kong was exclusively on which you will find these, and many to other, tracks- completes with booklets, excellent photos, and wonderful post-production mastering. This will proves much lives satisfactory will be completists.
One of many Perry/Marley/Wailers combination cds out there, this one is nice, but there ploughs much to better you be had.

Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh met in childhood (in 1979) and later started their first garage punk band, consisting of drums, bass and vocals. They later formed Sublime with Brad Nowell. The Long Beach Dub Allstars (LBDAS for short) were founded after Brad died in 1996 of a heroin overdose (frequent contributors to Sublime including Michael “Miguel” Happoldt, Todd Foreman, and “Field” Marshall Goodman are also members of the band).
Eric Wilson says,”We will never replace the greatness that Sublime did or what Brad has done.” The band was originally a 10-piece and they recorded their debut recording called Right Back, which shortly after completion in 1999 saw the departure of three members. Their second album, Wonders of the World was recorded and released in 2001. It featured “Sunny Hours” featuring will.i.am from the then virtually unknown Black Eyed Peas.
This is the reggae I grew up on. Straight outta Columbus at 1357 N. High Street. My friends dad is one of the DJs and me and my other buddies Zak and Aaron would always be going to reggae shows so we got to know DJ Pete Fonk (left in above pic). Roots High Power is always at all of the reggae shows in Columbus spinning the vibes in between sets and after. They mix a lot of their own mixtapes and they’re sick. A lot of big reggae names come to Columbus to record for them. I am posting them for download because you can only get them at Roots High Power on High Street in Columbus. So if you live in Columbus, love reggae, and haven’t heard of Roots High Power then you need to go there, buy their mixtapes, and check the place out. It’s a really cool store and the people there are very nice. If you don’t live in Columbus then download this now. The Time Will Tell mixtape is by far my favorite Roots mixtape. I’m getting the tracklist and CD cover for it up on here soon but download it now anyways! It’s a conscious mix and I listened to it a TON last year and still throw it on a lot.You should download them all though :). Oh and there will be like 5 or 6 more mixtapes with all album art and track listings coming very soon.

My favorite dancehall/reggae artist for sure. Anthony B is d king of d jungle! He is the first dancehall i heard that i liked and instantly i knew i would be listening to his shit a lot and going to Roots High Power on High Street to buy his music. If you like reggae, roots, dancehall, with a little bit of hip hop in there, then give this a listen.Anthony B is the stage name of Keith Blair (born March 31, 1976), a Jamaican title=”Musician”>musician. He is a member of the Bobo Ashanti branch of the Rastafarian movement. “Bobo Dreads”, as they are known, are recognizable by their long robes and turbans. The strong Afrocentric pride and the other Rastafarian beliefs (or “overstandings” as Rastafarians prefer to call them) which Anthony B holds are reflected in his songs. While attending high school, Anthony B debuted as a deejay for the local sound system, Shaggy Hi-Power. In 1988, he befriended reggae artists such as Determine, Mega Banton, Ricky General and Terror Fabulous. At this point in the reggae industry, singing “slack” songs about women was the popular thing to do. Anthony B did not believe in degrading women and chose to pen politically-slanted songs instead. He hooked up with Little Devon the Half Pint sound-a-like singer he made his debut single “The Living is Hard” on the Wizard label in 1993. Anthony B tried many different producers but found that none of them fit his style of music. Finally, Anthony B teamed up with Richard “Bello” Bell, creating hits such as “Fire Pon Rome”, “Raid Di Barn”, “Rumour”, and “Repentance Time.” Anthony B’s 1996 debut album Real Revolutionary was highly acclaimed in the reggae community. In late 1997, Anthony B released Universal Struggle which showed that Anthony B had a consistent, high-calibre talent. Anthony B has released a large number of albums since including 1999’s Seven Seals, 2003’s Street Knowledge, 2004’s Untouchable which featured collaborations with artists including Wyclef Jean, Snoop Dogg & Bone Crusher, 2005’s Black Star & My Hope, and most recently, Suffering ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Sizzla
Sizzla Kalonji is one of the most prolific leaders of the conscious Reggae dancehall movement. Emerging in the latter half of the 90s, he helped lead dancehall back to the musical and spiritual influence of roots reggae and heavily Rastafarian subject matter. He was born Miguel Collins on April 17, 1976 in St Mary and was raised in the community of August Town by devout Rastafarian parents. The 1980s witnessed a dancehall explosion, and with the music came the lifestyle. Sizzla watched carefully, collecting his lyrical ammunition. He began his career in the music industry in his early teenage years. After honing his vocal skills, he landed a gig with the Caveman Hi-Fi sound system, where he first made a name for himself as a performer. He cut his first single for the small Zagalou label in 1995, and soon moved on to Fattis “Exterminator” Burrell. Extensive touring with fellow roots and culture artist Luciano followed, earning Sizzla critical acclaim. Sizzla since has gone on to do many more albums, mixtapes, singles, and compilations. My favorite being the Dexterity Mixtape. Not the Dexterity Best of Sizzla, but The Hip-Hop Mix one. Sizzla’s style is like nobody else’s. He changes his voice a lot and makes it sound almost like different personalities. One loud, fast, and more hip-hip/rap style. Another conscious smooth reggae singing vibe. Definitely one badass rasta rudeboy.
